How does the Football Development Australia Academy Program differ from local club teams?
Football Development Australia Youth Academy training provides specialized, higher-intensity sessions run by accredited coaches, whereas local grassroots clubs focus primarily on weekly team matches and volunteer-led development.
How often do the squads train and play?
Our squads train two nights a week all year round plus one weekend match day (or training session over summer)
How do I organise a trial for the program?
After completing and submitting the ‘Registration for Trials’ form on our website a member of our team will contact you to confirm dates, venue and timings for trial sessions. All players will have the opportunity to attend two trial sessions free of charge. Trial outcomes are confirmed shorty after the second trial session.
Do the squads play in a competition?
Yes – all of our squads play in a winter competition and we also attend state and national tournaments during our preseason and post season.
How will my child’s progress be monitored?
The Football Development Australia Youth Academy provide regular, structured player reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses, and offer clear development targets
What happens during periods of wet weather?
We train and play on synthetic fields all year round to avoid any interruptions to our training and match schedule. Parents are updated via sms in when extreme weather conditions cause a postponement.
