Players should be dropped off and picked up from training and matches on time. Training start and end times will be communicated to all parents at the beginning of each term. Ideally players will arrive 10 minutes early for every session so that they are ready to go when training commences. Players are requested to arrive 30 minutes before match kick off times so that our squads can warm up and prepare for matches as a team.
Parents are allowed to stay and observe training sessions and matches however all parents are requested to stay on the perimeter of the training area at all times. During matches we ask parents to not shout instructions at players from the sidelines as this causes interference and takes away from their enjoyment of the game.
All players are required to wear their full FDA Academy training kit to all training sessions. A match day kit will also be provided for inter academy matches. Winter FDA tracksuits are also available. Players should also bring their drinks bottle filled with water to each session to stay hydrated during training session breaks.
At FDA we try not to cancel training sessions and enjoy training in the rain however sometimes Mother Nature disrupts our schedule! In this case please do not call or email. If there is any postponement or change to the FDA training or match schedule, updates will be posted on the FDA twitter feed on the homepage of our website by 3pm on training days and on the evening before matches. If there is no update posted then training and matches will go ahead as scheduled.
If training is cancelled we will endeavour to make up the session by extending training times or adding extra training days. We update parents on this accordingly.
